OARS Women's Masters presents $5,000 to the Central Florida affiliate of Komen for the Cure.

The OARS Women Masters team in Orlando, FL held a live auction event on Sept 7, 2007 dedicated to raising funds for the “Row for the Cure”. The women themed the event titled “Lights, Camera, Auction…..Row!!”. The event was held at the home of one of the master rowers which is located on the chain of lakes that the women row on every day. All members of the master’s team volunteered their time and talent to make this event a success. Someone designed the invitations, a caterer sympathetic to the cause discounted the catering, others donated beverages while others brought movie set decorations. The local high school even had drama students attend dressed as famous actor look-a-likes! By the end of the evening, everyone had a fun time and the auction was a success. The event raised $5000 for the Central Florida Affiliate of Susan G Komen for the Cure! Way to go OARS Women Master’s Team!!
