Virtual Hooch Registration Process

The organizers of the Virtual Head of the Hooch decided to move the competition to January 20, 2024, instead of November 19th, 2022. We know that many of you will be preparing for indoor competitions and in that spirit, the distance will be shortened from 4,500 m to 2,000 m. The race is now a sanctioned Concept2 event.

Competitors who would like to qualify for the World Indoor Rowing Championships will need to record a video of themselves racing their event and take a photo of their erg monitor with their finish time. Both the video and photo need to be submitted to WIRC.

The virtual “shortened” Hooch is still limited to 1x’s and 2x’s from youth to masters, and para-athletes. There will be 56 events in total and it will be run on the Time-Team HomeRace platform.

The Virtual Hooch will be utilizing the Time Team platform.

This is a Virtual Race where you will use your erg, but you will be assigned a time and will be racing live against others.

Receive great prizes simply by participating!

Participants in 1xs and 2xs events are eligible to win a Citius-Remex seat pad (4 participants in 1xs and 2 teams in 2xs). All competitors are also eligible to win one of 2 NK Sports SpeedCoaches and one lucky rower will win a Concept2 Indoor Rower!
