Virtual Hooch Registration Process
The Virtual Head of the Hooch will be held on January 10, 2026. We know that many of you will be preparing for indoor competitions and in that spirit, the race distance will be 2,000 m. For all open and youth athletes, and 1,000 meters for all masters and para athletes. The race is a sanctioned Concept2 event.
Youth and Open Competitors who would like to qualify for the World Indoor Rowing Championships will need to record a video of themselves racing their event and take a photo of their erg monitor with their finish time. Both the video and photo need to be submitted to WIRC.
The virtual Hooch is still limited to 1x’s and 2x’s from youth to masters, and para-athletes. There will be 56 events in total.
The Virtual Hooch will be utilizing the Time Team HomeRace platform.
This is a Virtual Race where you will use your erg, but you will be assigned a time and will be racing live against others.
Receive great prizes simply by participating!
Participants in 1xs and 2xs events are eligible to win a Citius-Remex seat pad (4 participants in 1xs and 2 teams in 2xs). All competitors are also eligible to win an NK Sports SpeedCoach, a set of Burnham boat slings, and one lucky rower will win a Concept2 Indoor Rower!
